Our sesame oil is special
We source Sesame Seed Oil that is unrefined, organic and unlike any other of its kind. While most cold pressed sesame seed oils are pressed at temperatures over 200 degrees F, the sesame oil used in our formulas never reaches temperatures above 104 degrees to preserve its valuable phytonutrients. It's neither roasted or toasted and offers a mild, nutty flavor. This flavor profile pairs fantastically with the aromatics in the Cannabis oil.
More that just good taste
There is so much more to sesame oil than its good taste. Our sesame oil nourishes the body with vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. Along with vitamin E and phytosterols, it contains sesame lignans, sesamol and sesaminol. These lignans are powerful antioxidants that actually help remove free radicals from the body. This is great news because free radicals in your cells may lead to inflammation and disease.
Chemical-Free
Refined oils (such as MCT oil) are much more processed than unrefined oils, and therefore don’t provide as many nutrients. The refining process typically includes treating the oil with a chemical solution (typically sodium hydroxide), before deodorizing and bleaching the oil.
